India mein salary negotiation taboo mana jaata hai — lekin sach yeh hai ki negotiate karna na sirf possible hai, balki expected bhi hai. Companies pehle hamesha low offer deti hain.
Ek example: Agar aap 6 LPA ki jagah 7 LPA negotiate kar lete ho:
Ek conversation se itna farak pad sakta hai.
Sahi waqt: Jab company formally offer de. Galat waqt: First round mein hi salary pe aa jaana.
Agar HR pehle pooche toh yeh bolein:
"Main is role ke liye bahut excited hoon. Main prefer karoonga ki hum offer stage pe is baare mein baat karein."
Step 1 — Offer mila:
"Thank you for the offer. Maine market research ki hai aur mere skills ke basis par, main X LPA ki umeed kar raha tha. Kya aap is direction mein kuch kar sakte hain?"
Step 2 — Agar no kahein:
"Main samajh sakta hoon. Kya signing bonus ya early performance review possible hai?"
